Biog

Jay can currently be heard weekday mornings with his own sense of style and personality on Bridge FM, Swansea Bay Radio, Radio Carmarthenshire, Radio Pembrokeshire and Radio Ceredigion. He also provides the latest travel news, showbiz, and sport as well as hosting his own show on Sunday mornings.

 

He also produces the Breakfast Show on Nation Radio and Thames Radio

It’s a radio career which has spanned over the 10 years, beginning at Afan FM in Port Talbot, before later assisting BBC Radio Wales and Radio Cymru on a number of station tours including the Big Buzz, County Shows and Pop In to the Park.

 

This was followed by a Drivetime role on commercial radio in the Nation Broadcasting network of Stations, Bridge FM and Swansea Bay Radio, before being moved to the Breakfast Show in less than a year.

When he isn’t live, his warm, and friendly voice is also often used on a number of Radio and Television commercials including his role as the ‘Voice of Wales’ for the tourism commercials ‘Visit Wales’ which were broadcast worldwide to promote the country to the global market.


Jay has also been a regular on television and film, presenting backstage and red carpet interviews at events such as the BAFTA Cymru Awards, appearing several times in BBC Drama Pobl y Cwm and worked on projects such as ‘The Passion’ and ‘ We‘re here because’ with the National Theatre of Wales.

Away from the camera, he has a successful association with Theatre, appearing in Agatha Christie’s novel ‘Witness for the Prosecution’ with the Bill Kenwright Company at The New Theatre, Cardiff, and recently as Dandini in the family pantomime ‘Cinderella’ at the Lyric Theatre, Carmarthen.

Jay is also part of the Presenter line-up for the Co Op Radio Instore service which is broadcast across the UK to over 4,000 stores and 20 millions customers per year.

Away from the studio Jay enjoys quiz shows, and recently appeared on TV Gameshow 1000 Heartbeats hosted by Vernon Kay , and appeared alongside Ben Shephard as a contestant on ITV Tipping Point.

He also has a passion and desire to travel and recently began documenting these journeys by filming several Travel Vlogs  around the World.

In recent years, Jay has combined presenting with the role of Showbiz columnist with Swansea Life Magazine and County Life Magazine, often chatting and grilling famous faces and celebrities.

He’s also been the familiar face of Sky Sports 3D and can currently be seen hosting the home fixtures at the BT Sports Arena at Parc Y Scarlets, Llanelli, along with regular charity evenings, award ceremonies, and high profile events right across Wales.
